Kirkland Life Church
Kirkland Life Church, Resurrection Assembly of God at the time, needed a fresh start. Their name and logo represented an identity that no longer suited the church or their relationship to the community. It was a skin they needed to shed to move forward.
They were dealing with a case of analysis paralysis as the groped for a new name to better represent who they had become. It was a church revitalization with essentially a new pastor, a new outlook, and many new attenders.
After struggling for months they landed on Kirkland Life Church. They were on Kirkland Ave. in the town of Kirkland, NY; it became a no brainer once it was suggested.
The logo needed to feel fresh and represent life, and it had to be something they could put on t-shirt and be proud. After a lengthy back and forth we landed on this very unique “K”. The modernity in it really represented the sophistication of the town they are in while the greens just scream LIFE and growth.
Beyond the design, I was able to turn this into a little bit more than just an identity project. I enlisted the help of the Creative Arts Team at my church and we took an entire weekend (and quite a few hours of planning prior) to really give this church the lift it needed from bland to bold.
We priced and spec’d out a brand new sound system and installed it, painted the back of the stage to make what was happening on stage pop, added some elements to their “set” and left them with a master plan for the building once we finished.
